Starship Troopers 2 - Watch the making of it first

This movie is everything they set out for it to be. Unfortunately, marketing doesn't tell you what they intended to do. It is a B horror movie filmed in 26 days using digital video equipment. The effects are great, for the budget and the story is in line with the original Heinlein novel, though they took a different tack. The acting is horrible, well I couldn't do better but then again I don't have a SAG card. The actors seemed to enjoying doing this project and some hinted in the making of video that they may make another.

I love the fact that they were trying to make a Korean war type movie. It is dark and not all that hopeful. But the soldiers do their duty. It is an interesting story to be made in this day an age. Kind of anti-patriotism, but pro soldier. Hard to pull off, not sure they did.

I give this a 6 out of 10. I would have given it 3 out of 10 if I hadn't watched the making of video. I am being generous, but I want to see more things like this. A good story is a good story, this is an okay story but at least someone made it.
