iPod Headphones - They take a licking and keep on ticking.

Those nifty white headphones that are included with every iPod give a very good sound, though not the best on the market. You can spend a lot of money and not find something better, but that is entirely a matter of personal taste. I prefer an over the ear headphone when I am sitting, but these are great to put in a pocket and use when walking to starbucks or across the park.

That is where their toughness gets tested. No not while you are using them. When you forget to take them out of your pocket and wash them. Then Dry them. Believe it or not, they came out of the process sounding perfect and a little cleaner.

I would not recommend this as the preferred method for cleaning them, but it is nice to see that they are not crap that melts. Like most things Apple does they are specialized and slightly over engineered. They are worth every penny I paid.

I give these a 10 out of 10 for toughness, and a 7 out of 10 for sound. If you own an iPod, you have a pair of these. I consider these as good as the $60 Sony headphones.
