RV082 - Dual WAN Firewall
If you have a real network at home and two WANs, you must have one of these. I tried the Hawking FR24 but found it to be less than useless. The load balancing never worked on the hawking. This linksys is awesome. The load balancing worked perfectly on the first try. It isn't cheap as compared to a BEFSR41, but it does so much more. SPI is the one of the main reasons I bought it. It seems to do that very well.
A word of warning about the logging, it will e-mail you when something happens. If you have a cable modem... You will get a lot of e-mail. Funny how the DSL never gets pinged, but I have constant ip spoofing on the comcast trying to get in to IIS.
The 8 ports can each be setup as a VLAN. Since I like all of my family members we don't need 8 separate VLANs, but it is a great option for someone who may be sharing a connection with roommates or friends they don't completely trust. Share you connection but don't let them see your computers.
