The new World of Warcraft PVP Honor system is in effect

Okay... it is 2 days old and already on my server there are people with over 400 honorable kills. As I suspected they are rogues, the character class is designed to ambush, disable and kill an opponent quickly.

Did I ever think that I had a chance to be in the top 10% in the honor system? Yea, but my worst fears are realized. This, like raiding the big bosses, will go to the players who have no life outside of the game.

The casual player will be left out of this fun. It will matter once the battlefields are released, but until then it will just bring zones to a crawl as hudnreds of players descend on each other for the covented honorable kills.

First impressions, not that good. This does give the level 60's something to do other than stand around in the auction houses, but I am not sure it will be a good thing for the game.

It is released and the game will evolve becasue of it. Since I play on a Normal server where you must declare yourself to be PVP I can ignore this whole thing if I want. That is a nice option that Blizzard has given us.
