Bose Wave Radio

Okay, you have seen the commercials. You have probably even heard one of these at someone's home or at the Bose store in the Mall.

I have to say it is worth it. The sound is incredible. If you have been following my posts then you know I am somewhat of a recovering audiophile. This thing is just great.

I was amazed at how good some of the local radio stations sound. I can tell which ones are broadcasting a full spectrum and which ones are being cheap with their signal. All I can say is that 99X is not being true to the music while 95.5 The Beat is surprisingly good.

The CD player is awesome. And here is where the only problem I have seen comes in. After a few days use the CD player started giving an error code after 30 seconds of player regardless of which CD was played. This is disturbing for a music system that costs this much.

I wandered by the Bose store at the Mall and mentioned this to them. They said to just bring it in. Since it had been less than 2 weeks they just swapped it out. Should I mention I bought it from the web site, and not at the store?

Yes, customer service in this day and age. It is surprising I know but apparently Bose believes in taking care of the customer.

So what nerdly options are there? Not many, there is an auxiliary input that I can run my XM portable into, but other than that, it is a straightforward device. If you like music then you want one of these.

I give the Bose Wave Radio a 10 out of 10. Trust me, this is worth the cost. If you are taking the time to read this then you will probably be the kind of person who will think this is worth it.
