Comcast Cable Card

I have to admit I am impressed with the cable card add on from Comcast. It goes in the slot on the back of your HDTV if it is so equipped and takes the place of the cable box.

There are some immediate drawbacks, you can't do pay per view with it, or on demand. When you thing about it for a second it makes sense. It is one way communication, but there is no cost from comcast in my area so it is perfect for me.

I have the HD DVR hooked up and the cable card so I can do picture in picture with 2 HD cable sources. Not a bad thing for no additional charge.

If you have a TV that can use cable card there is no reason not to have it since the there is no charge.

This one gets a big thumbs up as a must have if you can use it.
